The Central Election Committee announces

According to the Universities and Colleges Act 2005, sections 9-3 og 9-4, cf. especially sec. 9-4 (2), temporary academic staff each year elects one member and three substitute members to the University Board.

NEW Deadline for candidate proposals: TUESDAY APRIL 14 2015

Election dates: The election is held by electronic poll from April 22 at 9 am through April 28 at 12 pm.

How to propose candidates:

For a candidate proposal to be legal, these requirements apply:

• It must be in writing (on paper, with physical signatures).
• It must be signed by at least three persons who are all entitled to vote in the election.
• It must contain at least one and no more than four candidates.
• All proposed candidates must be eligible.
• If any candidate is entitled to exemption from election, a written consent from the candidate must be attached to the proposal.
• No person can sign more than one proposal.
• Proposal with more than one candidate should take account of gender balance.
• The proposal must have reached the Election Committee’s secretariat no later than 345 pm on the last day of the deadline.

Proposals are to be sent to: Universitetet i Bergen, Det sentrale valgstyret, P.O. Box 7800, 5020 BERGEN. If the proposal is sent by the internal mail service, it is enough to address it to: Det sentrale valgstyret. Alternatively, the proposal may be deliverered by hand to the secretariat, at Muséplassen 1, top floor or scanned and sent by e-mail to:
