The deadline for applications for funds from the faculty’s funds and legacies for 2015 is 1 December 2014. The amounts available for allocation from the various funds and legacies will be decided in February 2015.

The funds and legacies accepting applications in 2015, are:

•  Fabrikkarbeider Hans B. Fasmers fond til fremme av fysisk forskning ved Universitetet i Bergen: supports nuclear research and other research within the field of physics at UiB. Estimated amount available for 2015: NOK 48.000, -
• Det alminnelige naturvitenskapelige forskningsfond ved Universitetet i Bergen: supports research and other scientific work at The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at UiB. Estimated amount available for 2015: NOK 59.000, -
• Felleslegat til fordel for biologisk forskning ved Universitetet i Bergen: supports research within the field of biology at UiB. Estimated amount available for 2015: NOK 63.000, -

 There will be no allocations from the faculty's other funds and legacies in 2015. This applies to the following:

• Fellesfond for geofysisk forskning ved Universitetet i Bergen
• Overlæge Klaus Hanssens legat til Universitetet i Bergen
• Bergen Myrdyrkningsforenings fond
• Konsul Joachim Frieles legat nr. 1
• Konsul Axel Heiberg og Fabrikkeier Hans B. Fasmers fond
• Apoteker Johan Lothes og hustrus fond                                                                   

 The applications will be assessed by a committee appointed by The Faculty Board. The successful applicant should submit a high quality project description where the purpose of the application, which fund or legacy you are primarily applying to, and the period for which you are applying, are made clear. The project must be in accordance with the purpose of each individual fund or legacy, cf. the enclosed rules.

The application is to be submitted electronically before 1 December 2014 to: okonomi@mnfa.uib.no. Applications sent elsewhere might not be considered.

The granting of funds will take place mid-April 2015.
