An inquiery is someone contacting SIM with one or more issue regarding an international researcher(s) and/or his/her family.

We try to log the following information:
- Type of communication: phone, email or meeting in person
- Date of inquiery
- Main topic of the inquiey

The inquiery can come from an international researcher, hs/her spouse/partner or it can come from a department wanting information about procedures so they can inform a researcher.

If several different issues is dealt with during the same contact, this will still be counted as one.

The statistics is also reported to Euraxess every half year, and is also integrated into the half year report from SIM.

We use these statistics in order to learn more about the needs of the international researchers coming to UiB. We try to match the information we publish and our services with the inquiries we get. Statistics and evaluations is part of our quality assurance system.
