Hi and welcome to my homepage. My name is Stefan Andersson and I'm originally from Eskilstuna in Sweden, but since 2000 I've been living in Oslo, Norway. I have bachelor degrees in Fire Safety Engineering from the Stord/Haugeund College, and the Lund Institute of Technology in Sweden as well as a Master of Science degree in Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Science degree in Risk Management and Safety Engineering from the Lund Institute of Technology.

In the area of fire safety and risk I've worked as a fire-fighter in Eskilstuna (1997, 1998), with R&D and testing of fire protection systems at Kidde-Fenwal Inc in Ashland, MA, USA (1999)  and a Seinor Fire and Safety Engineer at Skansen Consult AS in Oslo, Norway (2000 - 2005). Since 2005 I am employed as Section Head of Engineering, Fire and Safety at Norconsult AS in Sandvika, Norway a multi-disiplinary consulting engineering company.

I've been employed as a part-time Assistant Professor in Fire Safety Engineering at the Stord/Haugesund College since january 2000 working mainly with fire safety, but also som with health, environment and safety.

My fields of interest in research and education are fire dynamics, egress, passive- and active fire protection, performance-based fire safety engineering, investigations, technical safety, risk analysis, risk management, vulnerability, building codes and standards.
