y = 0.84 x + 800

Setting y = 10'000 NOK, you get 

10'000 = 0.84 x + 800

We need to solve for x. The trick is to isolate x by always doing the same on both sides. Here, subtract 800 on both sides: 

9'200 = 0.84 x

Next, divide by 0.84 on both sides: 

9'200 
----- = x
 0.84

You get x = 10'952.38..., so the answer is 10'952 NOK.
