WP 1 Project Management

The management of the project will be operational through the establishment of a Steering Committee and the daily supervision by the project leader, Kjellrun Hiis Hauge.

The steering committee consists of Kjellrun Hiis Hauge, Einar Svendsen, Olav Rune Godø,  Olav Sigurd Kjesbu, Ole Arve Misund og Svein A. Iversen

The co-ordination of the project has been allocated 6 person-months in total. The project will be carried out in close relation with the IMR Department of Administration, which has been involved in a high number of externally projects.

The project leader has the responsibility to edit, collate and deliver the interim (progress) and final reports to the NRC, to keep all research activities at the highest standard possible and that all scientific deliverables/milestones are fulfilled.  Quality assurance will be provided by detailed technical protocols prepared under WP1.

The project will be managed through a series of project meetings. Quality and progress of the work packages will be presented by the various responsible members and controlled during these meetings as text and oral presentations. Written work package reports will be made available in advance of the annual meetings. Annual interim project reports will be based on these presentations. The Steering committee will seek national and international expertise within the topics of the project by arranging meetings/seminars.
Decision making
Decision making structures will involve all members working through the Steering group and focus on the completion of deliverables and milestones as laid down in the application.
Exploitation and dissemination activities
All results will be made available to the NRC. Agreed results will be published using bodies and media related to fishery science and management, such as ICES annual meetings, conferences and scientific journals.

The project members will decide upon a list of publications to be submitted to refereed scientific journals during the project’s life.

A literature study will be carried out as a background for the SIP during 2006.
