Bachelor programmes at IMT

A bachelor programme is at 3 year undergraduate study programme based on secondary education which gives 180 ECTS in the university college and university system.

BSc in Network and System

To administrate networks and computer systems skilled people are needed to make it function well and make the users satisfied. To achieve this it is important to know about planning, security, correct installation and configuraton, automation and programming and good service (helpdesk).

BSc in Information security

A bachelor in information security will educate programmers and system administrators with particular knowledge of ensuring security related aspects in computer systems. This will imply knowledge of information systems vulnerability, risc factors and complexity. Market researches show need for employees with this knowledge in public and private sector, in small and medium-sized companies, organisations and corporations.

BEng Computer Science

This study programme has the same basic computer science courses as BSc Software Engineering and BSc Network and System, but Bachelor of engineering in Computer Science is based on Norwegian engineering education framework plan. The study programme therefore includes more scientific subjects than the BSc programmes. The study programme gives especially good possibilities when it comes to future master studies.

BA Media Design

Bachelor of Media Design is a genuine design programme with a primarily communicative and aesthetic approach to design. The programme adresses both paper media and electronic media.

BSc Media Management

The aim is to educate leaders who can hold various positions within the graphic industry, the media and visualisation business and organisations working with media. They will acquire a broad understanding of production methods, economics and management. The education will qualify students to work alone or in groups.

BSc Media Production

The bachelor in media production aims to give you knowledge about processes and production systems in different types of media productions. You will get to be familiar with production of video, sound, web and printed matter. In addition you will also get knowledge about how typography, colours and user interfaces affect different productions.

BSc Media Technology

In recent years the world of media has went through a digital revolution. Equipment, speeds and possibilities increase and improve day by day. Media and computer industry are working together to establish new forms of production and distribution.

BSc Software Engineering

A software developer needs to analyse a companys need for information technology and design an architecture for the ordered product. This bachelor focuses on developing stable, effective, user-friendly software in right time and for the right price.
