My Cand. Scient. thesis in theoretical physics is available here:
ps.gz, pdf.
It contains, among other things, an introduction to and numerical results on
the ekpyrotic universe cosmological theory, which is a higher-dimensional
brane-universe cosmological theory based on M theory. It is quite different
from the ordinary big bang with inflation in standard modern cosmology.
One assumes that the visible universe is a surface with three spatial
dimensions called a 3-brane, which is embedded in a five-dimensional space.
The ekpyrotic universe is an alternative to, or a higher dimensional
perspective of the big bang. As seen from a five dimensional perspective,
the big bang is the four dimensional manifestation of a collision between two
such branes, in this theory.
