Tor has been working with development cooperation for many years. The last position he held was as secretary general in Save the Children. In the 1960s he was a participant for the Norwegian Volunteer Service in Uganda and he has also lived in Zambia, where he was leader for NORAD. Tor was in charge of the major evaluation of the former Volunteer Service in 1989.

Helge is a sociologist by education. He has got his main work experiences partly within urban and regional planning, and partly within development cooperation. He has lived 11 years in Ethiopia working as Resident Representative for Save the Children Norway. Within Fredskorpset he is overall responsible for strategic issues, programme development and implementation in Norway and abroad, network and course development; as well as finance, personnel, administration and legal issues. He deputizes for Tor Elden when required.
