Student Associations

Each academic deparment at BUC has at least one Student Association (Studentforeningene):

NUGLA          Fisheries and Natural Science
HHBS             Graduate School of Business
CORPUS        Health and Nursing
INTER            Social Science
SALUT            Teacher Education
AJOUR           Journalism

These groups have one common goal: to stand up for all students' economic, professional and social rights.  Through these committees you can influence your own situation as a student, and other students` progress, both in the subject area and in the study environment.  SOB is here to help all students in matters concerning the university and other aspects of student life.  Students have representatives in boards and committees that are involved in all levels of decision-making. The student representatives elected to these committees speak on behalf of all students here at Bodø University College. “Studentforeningene” is there for the students and plays an active and important role in student life.
