Moving e-mail

Maybe you have chosen to read e-mail with the help of Outlook Express or another e-mail programs and chosen to use POP3 as protocol for incoming mail. With POP3, the the program normally deletes messages from the server and these messages will not be shown other places than on your computer. If something then happens to your computer you will lose your mail. To prevent any loss of mail in advance, you can copy the mail to the mail server, something this article will tell you more about.

Outlook Express

1. Open Outlook Express
2. Use the wizard as described here to add an IMAP-account (like your stud/employee-account)
3. In the local inbox with the previously downloaded e-mails, mark which e-mails you want to restore to the server
4. Press CTRL-C
5. Go to the newly created IMAP-inbox
6. Press CTRL-V, and they will get copied back to the server

Outlook

1. Open Outlook
2. Add an account just like they do here.
3. In the local inbox with the previously downloaded e-mails, mark which e-mails you want to restore to the server
