Guidelines for using newsgroups

Do not post the same message to several groups.

This is not a popular thing to do. The main reason for using different newsgroups is to create groups concerning narrow topics, e.g. political aspects in Denmark, and only messages aimed directly to this topic are meant to be posted here. It is in fact quite difficult to create messages which will aim to several groups, and that is why a message posted to several groups will most likely not be suitable for any groups. If you are not sure which group to send your message to, try one at a time, and you will get feedback on the relevance of the message to the group.

Do not enter a new group and make your self too comfortable.

A lot of newsgroups have a strict group of people and there are often many unwritten rules which you, as a new joiner, have to be aware of, learn and respect.

Communicating in writing is hard.

Do not write anything you might regret! Remember that all messages will be kept for a long time.
