Professor Robert B. Laughlin, (Stanford University ) presented The Lars Onsager Lecture 2007 on Monday, April 16, at 10:15-11 in R1, Realfagbygget. The title of his lecture was Onsager's Unsolved Problem: Quantum Criticality.
In addition, he presented a popular lecture on Tuesday, April 17. at 12.15-13 in R1, with title A Different Universe.
The lecture was aimed at a general audience and Professor Laughlin is known as an excellent expositor.
Professor Laughlin received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1998.
