Department of Neuroscience has studies and research in a variety of disciplines, including basic and clinical neurosciences, geriatrics, psychiatry, sense organs, neuro- and oral surgery, orthopedics, rheumatology, and health informatics. The department also comprises several national centres of competence in addition to the Centre for the Biology of Memory, which is a Centre of Excellence.
