Health and health care The Master of Health Science is an interdisciplinary study in health, health work and health care. This study is offered as a joint programme between the Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology Management and the Faculty of Medicine.
Questions related to the health and welfare sector are increasing in their complexity. Therefore, the demand for competence that can examine these questions from several perspectives is necessary.
The aim of the study of Health Science is to understand and explain social behaviour and whether human development influences, or is influenced by, health. Areas that will be covered vary from ecological contexts to health and social politics, to every day situations found in private and working life, related to health and health care. In addition, issues linked to the practice and evaluation of professional health work will be focused on, both related to the patient (micro level) and to the system (macro level).
