– About the study programme

Field of Study: Program and Information Systems

When studying Program and Information Systems, you will get to plan, build and use information systems – systems that help users with the collection, storage and distribution of information. We emphasize the construction of large program systems, focusing on the individual components that any system is made up of and how to create programs that are as flawless as possible in the shortest time possible.

Field of Study: Data and Information Management

This study gives you a thorough understanding of how databases are built up, and how to effectively search for information in a database. You will also learn about organization, structure and the use of systems for managing large amounts of information for instance in libraries. Knowledge about the operation of complicated computer systems is part of this offer.

Field of Study: Intelligent Systems

You can also specialize in developing systems that help you reach difficult decisions. These systems are used for anything from helping doctors diagnose to estimating probable movements in share prices. You will also learn how computers are able to see and hear.

Field of Study: Complex Computer Systems

The main topic of this subject is the building stones used for solving complicated problems with computers. Using the most powerful computers available to push limits for what can be calculated further, is one of the major challenges. Are you wondering how it is possible to show pictures of non-existing worlds (such as the movies Matrix and The Lord of the Rings), this is where you will find out. Some problems are so large and heavy even for a computer that we need special machines to solve them. It is often a question of removing borders between the program and the machine so that the programs can shape the machines according to the problem at hand.
