Acoustics

Acoustics is a field with application within very many technological areas. Within this field you can work with advanced sound reproduction systems in connection with virtual reality and music technology.

The construction of systems for conversations in very noisy surroundings, and countersound technology for ‘quiet zones’ are also interesting areas of research and education. Important tools are numerical calculation models for anything from acoustics in concert halls, wave transmission in the atmosphere and in the sea, to noise around airports and in urban areas. You may also study how acoustic signals can be used to examine and map marine resources such as fish, plankton, oil and gas.
