Dette programmet legges ned fra høsten 2008. Studenter som er i gang med programmet gis anledning til å fullføre, evt. søke overgang til Bachelor i samfunnsvitenskapelige fag.
Social science from different perspectives
This study programme introduces students to the evolution and structure of industrial society, and provides students with an insight into the social science way of thinking, so that they will be qualified for working individually on the various problems faced by the modern society. The social studies programme is cross-disciplinary and introduces you to various topics within the field of sociology, economics, history and political science. This study program is particularly directed toward those seeking a teaching position or a position within public governance. It makes you qualified for a teaching position in high school or lower level education. With further specialization you will also be eligible for acceptance into the master programs of sociology, political science, history, or economics, depending on the field of specialization.
The program is also useful for those seeking a job within economic administration, journalism, marketing, or planning, or for those seeking a job in the public sector, in politics, or in other fields where knowledge about society is useful.
