Information in English
Welcome. This site contains information about multimedia projects at Østfold University College's School of Computer Science. Most pages are in Norwegian, so here's a short overview in English.
Please note that most important service announcements and news will be posted here, in English as well as Norwegian.
Radio
Among other things we stream all of NRK's radio channels using open formats (MP3 and Ogg Vorbis) and protocols (HTTP, RTP, IPv4, IPv6). You can give it a try here:
Some of the channels (e.g. Alltid Klassisk) could be of interest even if your Norwegian is a bit rusty.
TV
We stream both of NRK's TV channels in high quality using multicast. You can try the streams using the links below, but be aware that they will only work if your computer is connected to a multicast-enabled network at an academic institution in Norway (i.e. one that uses UNINETT as its ISP).
Stortinget on demand
In co-operation with UNINETT and Stortinget, the Norwegian parliament, we maintain a video archive of parlimentary meetings. The archive is navigated by clicking on links in meeting minutes.
Wiki
We use a wiki for collaborative editing of documentation. Any English articles within it (few at the moment) should be linked to here.
