The MPhil in Development Studies gives the students a unique opportunity to learn about other cultures and the complex issues of social change, making them well-equipped to work in other countries after their studies.
The programme provides the students with an opportunity to work in jobs related to development issues. The programme is relevant for jobs within research, planning, resource management and teaching. In Norway this includes for instance NORAD, Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and various Ministries (Foreign Affairs etc).
The programme is also relevant for further studies within the field of Geography, other social sciences and interdisciplinary studies such as development studies in general, natural resource management, gender and development, and planning.
