The main profile Digital Communication deals with systems for digital communication in wireless and wired transmission media. This includes mobile communication, both terrestrial and via satellites, fixed radio communication such as radio-relay systems and broadcasting systems, systems for high-speed transmission in copper cables, as well as fibre-optic transmission. This profile also includes channel models, modulation methods, encoding for protection against errors, and detection principles.
