Winter Course 2007 i Trondheim

I februar 2008 (vinterkurs 07 sesongen) arrangerer LBG Trondheim sitt første vinterkurs!
Kurset skal handle om bedriftens sosiale ansvar (Corporate Social Responsibility; CSR). Det handler om hvordan bærekraftige produksjonsmetoder, miljøvennlig produkter kommer til å bli konkurransedyktige fortrinn i framtiden. Les mer på kursets hjemmeside!

BEST Trondheim is again proud to announce a second main sponsor for our Summer Course on intergrated operations in the petroleum industry. This time it is the international petroleum company ConocoPhillips that will help us to make this a great event.


ConocoPhillips is one of the leading companies in the world when it comes to the usage of integrated operations and the technologies behind it, and they will help our participants to get a full understanding of what this actually is. Since ConocoPhillips have their headquaters in Stavanger, we will fly down there so that we can see how this works "in action" at their location. BEST Trondheim is proud to announce that our Summer Course on intergrated operations in the petroleum industry will be arranged in cooperation with emgs.


Through the Summer Course, we wish to encourage the participants to think of new ways to employ the technology of today and tomorrow in the field of petroleum. Through their innovative and path-breaking use of seabed logging, emgs has created a whole new industry, and we know that this will serve as an inspiration for our participants.

Summer Course 2007 i Trondheim

This year's BEST summercourse (August 12th to 25th) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) will be the 17th in Trondheim in the 18 years of BEST history. This year, the course is held in close cooperation with the Department of Petroleum Engineering and Applied Geophysics, supervised by Professor Jon Kleppe.

The course will give the 28 participants an introduction to existing and future technologies and technical equipment supporting the petroleum industry, with particular focus on Integrated Operations. Excursions, guest lectures and workshops given by the industry will play a central part of the course, and the participants will be challenged to come up with new and innovative applications of existing technologies aiming to create new and better tools for the industry.
