The PEP group meets Takeshi Watanabe, one of the founding fathers of chitinase research

At the last EUCHIS conference in Antalya, Turkey, members of the PEP group met with Prof. Takeshi Watanabe who has been one of the pioneers in chitinase research, starting of with work on the chitinolytic machinery of Bacillus circulans in the early nineties.
