About the Lab

InterMediaLab has been established to perform production based research in design, communication, dissemination and learning, and to support the research environments at the University of Oslo within these fields of knowledge. We pay special attention to development and experimentation. For more about production based method, see development methods.

Exploratory communication design performed by the InterMedia Lab vary, and benefits from the bordercrossings  of , projects as diverse as hybride wiki/mobile learning tools, collaborative research communication projects, generative art productions, video-based web-resources and tv-productions. Research dissemination focuses on development and production of documentaries and other audio visual content for web, podcast and television, like NRK and Kunnskapskanalen. The producers works closely with university researchers and explores the potential of dissemination in digital media. See list of programmes.
