The curriculum was new in the autumn of 2004, and it was based on previous curriculums.
The working methods in the programme are very varied and alternate between lectures, skills training, work placement, seminars, group work, essay writing etc.The working methods are accommodated to the learning goals which should be reached within each main topic.
The working methods in the programme should emphasise the principle saying that the students are responsible for their own learning. The students are required to be responsible when it comes to acquiring the knowledge and skills included in the curriculum. The offered teaching activities aim to accommodate for and support the students in their learning process. The study is a full-time programme, and the students are on average supposed to spend at least the same amount of time on the study as they would on a full-time job.The group work activity in the programme is highly emphasised, and the students are required to work in groups.
The students have three work placement periods during the programme.
