Welcome to Centre for research in the elderly in Tromsø

Centre for research in the elderly in Tromsø was established in 2000 initiated by the steering committee of the research programme "Research in the Elderly in Tromsø". Today the research activities include more than 20 projects related to medicine, health sciences and social sciences. Some of the research groups and the general manager are located in a local research centre ("Forskningsparken"), whereas most of the groups are located at the various Institutes at the University of Tromsø and at the University Hospital of North Norway. The Northern Norway Regional Health Authority finances the management of Centre for research in the elderly in Tromsø.
