Professor Neville Greaves

Founder and leader of Materials Physics Group at UWA working on glasses, ceramics and other disordered systems including semiconductor and thin film surfaces. The group utilises a wide range of spectroscopic techniques including NEXAFS, SEXAFS, SAX, XRD and XPS. Professor Greaves built up X-ray spectroscopic facilities and established the Materials Science Division at SLS, Daresbury UK, and is a leading figure in the development of combined X-ray techniques using spectroscopy, diffraction and scattering in the same experiment.
