Zeiss LSM510 service update

During service of the Zeiss LSM510, major corrosion damage was discovered on the objective turret. The 40X 1.2W corr objective has been shipped to Germany for repair.

This damage has likely occurred due to PBS spills. All users are advised to take care when mounting chambered coverglass on the microscope, as they easily become leaky. The service and repairs are very expensive (approx. 30 000 kr). An aquastop system will be installed on the system shortly to prevent this type of accidents in the future.

Also, the reflector turret has been repaired. EPI FL filters can now be changed in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions.
