When nothing wins: Modelling ungrammaticality in OT

When nothing wins: Modelling ungrammaticality in OT

Date:  21.05.2006

Time:  00:00

Venue:  N/A

Description
Start date: 21.05.2006
End date: 24.05.2006
Venue: Gabelshus, Oslo

This workshop will bring together the contributors to a volume with the same title, edited by Curt Rice, to appear with Equinox Publishing in their new series Advances in Optimality Theory.

Papers for the workshop will be distributed in advance, such that we can look forward to a productive roundtable discussion, assisting each other in the final preparation of our papers for the volume.

Beyond the editor, scholars contributing to the volume include

Adam Albright
Outi Bat-El
Geraldine Legendre
John J. McCarthy
Marc van Oostendorp
Orhan Orgun
Peter Rebrus
Miklós Törkenczy
Ralf Vogel
Matthew Wolf

The workshop will also include as participants Ellen Woolford and Paul Smolensky and possibly a few additional phonologists from Tromsø.

Additional information for authors will soon be posted. The most important thing at this point is to keep the April 1st deadline for submission of your manuscript in mind.

Letter to Authors, January06

Recall that there are two events in Europe immediately following our meeting which might be of interest:
Manchester Phonology Meeting 14
12th International Morphology Meeting
