University of the Arctic - GoNorth student mobility program
University of Tromsø was one of the founders of University of the Arctic As one of the largest higher education institutions in the circumpolar north we are strongly committed to contribute in the endeavours of solidifying and increasing the research and educational cooperation among the member institutions of the University of the Arctic.
One of the principal ways the University of Tromsø can contribute, is by participating in mobility projects and programmes. Below are listed a number of courses with “northern relevance”. Many of them fit well into the model for the Bachelor Degree Programme in Circumpolar Studies (BCS). Hence, they are eligible as North2North courses. They may also be of interest for international students inside or outside of the circumpolar regions on the lookout for northern issues as exchange/guest/study abroad components in their home degrees.
University of the Arctic has established a new student mobility programme aimed at giving students living south of the circumpolar north access to a study period in the High North. The programme is called GoNorth, and will be implemented in 2008. More information is available on gonorth project
