FYS-3022 Drilling and production of oil and gas

Objectives The course shall give an overview of the production process for oil and gas.

Contents The course deals with drilling and production of oil and gas. It includes the drilling process, safety, oil and gas flow into and up through the well, processing on the platform and subsequent transport. It also includes processing of oil and gas, process equipment and safety equipment.

Recommended previous qualifications GEO-3115 Petroleum geology, FYS-3021 Environmental Energy

Form of teaching Lectures and seminars.

Exam and assessment Portfolio assessment of oral exam (counting approx 80%) and project (counting approx 20%). Grading scale A-F.
