Social Studies

Social studies covers a wide area. An education in social studies provides an extensive range of work options within organisations in both the public and private sector.

At the Faculty of Social Sciences, you can choose between studying political science, education, psychology, sociology, social anthropology, health administration and planning and community studies.

The same faculty also offers a Masters programme in English in Peace and Conflict Transformation, indigenous studies and visual cultural studies.

The University of Tromsø has several interdisciplinary programmes with Bachelor programmes like Russian studies and the Multicultural Norway past and present.

The Norwegian College of Fishery Science also offers social studies subjects, such as business management and logistics, economics and marine management.

Law is also a social studies subject, and you will find that at the Faculty of Law.
