Modern methods in organic synthesis

Work Load 10  credits (ECTS)

Contents The course gives the student an opportunity to acquire an in-depth appreciation of new techniques in organic synthesis. The course is focussed on different themes such as: Phase-transfer catalysis, "green" solvents in synthesis, hypervalent reagents. The content of the course reflects the current status at the research front.

Form of teaching Self-studies A series of seminars

Assessment Oral examination During the course the student will be required to give two compulsory oral presentations (2 x 2h).
