Organometallic compounds in organic synthesis
Emnebeskrivelse
Work Load 10 credits (ECTS) | Contents Transition metals in organic synthesis are coming more and more important. Transition metals have opened up new routes for certain transformation that are impossible or very difficult to carry out by conventional methods. An important feature is that transition metal complexes can be used catalytically. This has opened up new routes to stereoselective, regioselectiv and chemoselctive transformations. The course gives an introduction to binding and structure in transition metal complexes and an overview of their most important reactions. Emphasis is on the synthetic use of such metal complexes. The lectures reflect the most recent developments. | Form of teaching Lectures: 40 h Seminars/exercises: 20 h
