Crystallography I

Work Load 10  credits (ECTS)

Contents The course will be presented in 3 sections: (i) Practical and theoretical introduction to methods for the crystallisation of small molecules and biological macromolecules. (3 credits). (ii) Basic crystallography, diffraction and the measurement and processing of diffraction data. (4 credits). (iii) Structure determination. (3 credits). The first section of the course can be offered as a separate unit of 3 credits.

Form of teaching Lectures: 40 h Seminars/practical work: 50 h

Compulsory teaching Laboratory course

Assessment Oral with after the practical parts of the course have been completed and reported satisfactorily.
