Courses at The Faculty of Science

The educational programmes provided by The Faculty of Science are structured around a basic unit – courses. The individual course concerned may form a part of different programmes. An overview of the courses taught at the Faculty can be found by clicking on the appropriate subject title in the right-hand margin.

All courses have an alphabetical coding which indicates which subject they belong to (e.g. BIO = Biology, FYS = Physics etc…) and a numerical coding which indicates the level at which the course is taught:

1000-course = Beginners level – bachelor
2000-course = Intermediate level – bachelor
3000-course = Masters degree level

NB. The Faculty of Science has determined that courses at 2000 and 3000 level will be arranged for English-speaking students according to need.
