Har undervist i et bredt felt av tematiske emner innen de samfunnsmedisinske fag både i grunnutdanningen og i videre- og etterutdanning

Forskning/faglige interesser
En av etablererne Tromsøundersøkelsen. Arbeidet i flere år vesentlig med coronar epidemiologi. Senere engasjert i evaluering av medisinsk diagnostikk og behandling og etikk knyttet til epidemiologi og forebyggende medisin.
