About the programme

The project was initiated in a joint meeting related to the Norwegian Medical Assosiation`s springcourse in Kirkenes, March 2007. Participants from health authorities in Norway, Murmansk and Arkhangelsk Counties of the Russian Federation attended this meeting.

The goal for The Pomor Primary Care Programme is to establish an education for general practitioners and nurses in Murmansk and Arkhangelsk counties on an international level.

Project Manager is Centre for International Health, University of Tromsø.
