HEL-3150: Recent trends in health policy and the health sciences Work Load

The course aims to elucidate aspects of current health-care services, in terms of professional and vocational policies. Shifts within health-care policy are collated with the progression of various vocations, vocational organisation and day-to-day functions. Health-care policy is also elucidated at a macro-level in terms of distribution problems and ethics, on the one hand, and scientific progress on the other. Key concepts in contemporary health-care services will be spotlighted, and the professional understanding and knowledge that underlies the application of the concepts will be discussed. | Form of teaching

Exams will be organised as a take-home exam, at the end of the module where the student is to design a project description for the Master Degree thesis. The exam lasts 15 working days. The project description is a compulsory part of the Master Degree. It should include: theme / description of the research matter, approach and application methods, as well as ethical and potential legal aspects (e.g. authorisation parties, progress plan and desired academic supervisor).
