PED-1002: Educational praxis and reflection Work Load
10 credits (ECTS) | Objectives
Familiarise students with didactical concepts such as learning objectives, learning activities, learning outcomes, forms of assessment and principles of curriculum construction. | Contents
The unit gives an introduction to aspects of the discipline of didactics in educational science. Didactics concerns the analysis of ''what, why and how'' in education and upbringing. Important issues are the choice of methods, learning activities and forms of evaluation and how these are incorporated in curriculum plans. The main emphasis will be on seeing didactical issues in a social perspective. | Form of teaching
Lectures, seminars, indivdual reading, homework on a written essay with the free use of library resources. | Assessment
Students are required to write one essay of 10 pages on a topic from a list provided by the teacher - writing period one week with the free use of library resources.
Grading system for assessed work: A-F (F is fail).
The course is open for re-sit examination early in the following semester. | Examination semester
