ARK-2015: Cultural Heritage Management Work Load
10 credits (ECTS) | Objectives
Advanced course; suitable as a complement to BA in archaeology, art history, planning or history. Introduction course to BA in cultural heritage management. | Contents
The course gives an introduction to the main aspects of cultural heritage management: ideology, historical development, organization, laws and regulations. Emphasis is given to the role of cultural heritage management in social planning. | Form of teaching
Lectures. | Assessment
An essay of about 10 pages and oral exam.
Students are expected to attend classes and participate in discussions. The graded exam consists of a 10 pages essay on a topic chosen by the student and written in English or Nordic language. An intermediate grade is given after the evaluatin of the essay, the final grade is decided after the oral exam.
