INF-3201: Concurrent and Parallel Programming Work Load

Parallel programming techniques are introduced. Models for parallel programming. Parallel machines and machine structures. Parallel programming languages, environments, libraries and toolboxes. Message passing and shared memory models of parallel computation. Data partitioning and load balancing techniques. Study of algorithm and program development of medium sized applications. | Form of teaching

The coursework includes up to 3 written assignments graded Pass/Fail. Oral presentation of the assignments and demonstration of a working system can be claimed. Approved assignments give access to the final written exam. | Compulsory teaching

Fall exam. 4 hours final exam graded by letter A-F. The overall grade for the course is determined 100% by the final exam. | Examination semester
