FRA-1121: French Literature II Work Load

This subject will give a deeper insight into a limited literary theme/field from French literature, with associated theory. | Contents
Course type: Compulsory.
Different topics, e.g. tragedy, comedy, boredom, gender perspective, the androgynous, etc. The syllabus is taken from different genres and different periods in history. Themes may vary from time to time.
Autumn 2004: Literature and femininity
Required previous qualifications/courses: FRA-1111 French Literature I: French literary history, with text examples.
| Form of teaching
This subject is offered in the Autumn semester. The teaching takes the form of lectures and seminars; 4 hours per week in weeks 34-41 and 45-49.
Language of instruction: French. | Assessment
Coursework Requirements:
An oral presentation of approx. 20 minutes.
Assessment method:
A semester assignment, maximum 10 pages long, on a given theme. The assignment must be answered in French.
A combined grade will be awarded for the written and oral tests, both of which count equally.
Performance in the course will be assessed with the grades A-F.
A resit exam will be held as soon as possible after the ordinary exam and normally no later than September 15 for courses offered in the spring semester and February 15 for courses offered in the autumn semester.
