Following a completed course, the students should have increased understanding of, and be able to use, basic statistic methods to analyze simple data sets. | Contents
The course gives an introduction to descriptive statistics, the normal distribution, confidence interval, statistical tests (z- and t-tests), nonparametric methods, the Chi squared test, correlation, simple regression. | Form of teaching
Lectures, working in groups, practical exercises. | Exam and assessment
On the last day of the course an exam in writing. Duration app. two hours. The exam is compulsory and must be passed to have the course approved | Course overlap
