MONTHLY REPORT

This report takes in account the activities we have been running from the September 11th to the 22nd of the said month.
The 11th of September was organised the elections for the ISU board for the following months. It should be mentioned here that the elections have us 9 out of the 10 members we were expecting. The position of Webmaster is still vacant. Immediately after we had a meeting with Gemechu the out going president, Susanne the international coordinator for ISU and the whole new board. During that meeting we learnt about the very immediate tasks we had to fulfil that are meeting the deadline for submitting a request for funding to the NSU (September 15), organising the celebration of the INTERNATIONAL PEACE day (September 21) and the national assembly of the ISU-NORWAY.

1. THE NEW ISU BOARD

After the elections organised by the Auditing Committee composed by the out going president and two members of his board, we got a board constituted as follow:

2. THE PLAN OF ACTIVITIES FOR THIS YEAR

With this board we have had three meeting in view to elaborate the plan of activities. We made as a list and we will soon work on the calendar of all this activities and the strategy we will use in view to implement it.

3. INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY.

Together with the NSU we have organised the celebration of the international peace day the 21st of September. We didn’t get the café bodega full but around 35 persons were there, included a good amount of Norwegian students. We had some poems, drawing, and a presentation from a representative of “Medecins Sans Frontières” Nobel Peace Price in 1999.

Now the Vice president and the president are preparing for the ISU NA in Oslo. We will present there the annual report of activities and our plan for the following months. We would like to have in good position the plan of integration of the international student at the university of Tromsø. After that we want to organise a board meeting where the quoted text is going to seek the votes of the board member.
