Career possibilities

  • Preventive health work.
  • Administrative work
The education does not give qualifications to clinical work as psychologist. Only the professional study of psychology gives this qualification
Psychology studies behavior and experiences of humans and animals and tries to explain these scientifically. The programme gives a broad introduction to basic disciplines, the history of psychology and its research methods.

In addition to biological psychology, cognitive psychology, social psychology, personality psychology and developmental psychology, is an introduction to more applied areas given. Work and organizational psychology, health psychology, educational psychology and aviation psychology are applied in areas of preventive health work, in organizations and companies or in aviation.

Other examples of applied psychology you’ll get introduced to as a student of psychology, is consumer psychology and cross cultural psychology.

Students learn how to examine and test psychological problem formulations and get thorough knowledge to the most important theories and findings in the discipline. The courses in psychology can also make out minors of studies in social science, economy or law. Admission to the professional study of psychology is based on the two first semesters of the bachelor’s programme.
