Marine Control Workshop 2007 (MARCOW'07)

15-16 February 2007, Oppdal, Norway

The Marine Control Workshop 2007 (MARCOW’07) will be held at Oppdal, Norway on the 15th and 16th of February 2007.

The workshop is intended to represent a forum where researchers and engineers from academia and industry, national as well as international, can gather in an open and friendly environment to interact through the exchange of new ideas and results. A main workshop goal is to serve as a tool that advances academic-industrial cooperation.

Scope

Identical to that formulated by the IFAC Technical Committee on Marine Systems:

The theory and application of control engineering and artificial intelligence techniques related to the maritime and offshore fields. To include marine structures, subsea systems, underwater vehicles, human factors, autonomous craft, and other devices within the marine environment. Aspects considered include navigation, guidance and control, monitoring and surveillance, fault diagnosis, optimization, planning, modelling, identification, and control architectures. Interests also span total vessel control to computer systems for marine applications, and detailed control of ancillary and auxiliary subsystems.
