This page is meant to give you who don't understand Norwegian, the most important information on our web-pages.

If there is something that doesn't work or if you need help, don't be afraid to contact us.
We have offices in BU2-153 (the "Hilbert" room) and in D3-176. [See office hours]
In room D3-176 you will often find someone at different hours too.

Mail

As a user of our computer rooms you get a mail accont: username@fysmat.ntnu.no.

To read mail do one of the following:

Log on maxwell.phys.ntnu.no using ssh and write 'pine'.
Configure Outlook Express
Use webmail: https://webmail.fysmat.ntnu.no

You can forward mail between different mail addresses with qmail. Ask us if you need help.

Home directory

You have got your own home directory on our server.
Your disc quota is at the moment 150MB
In windows you find it on M:. You can also use ftp (ftp.stud.fim.ntnu.no). From a web-browser write ftp://username@ftp.fysmat.ntnu.no in the address line.

Homepage

Put your files in the directory public_html in your home directory. (If this directory doesn't exist you have to create it.) You will find your homepage at "http://www.fysmat.ntnu.no/~username".
