Practical information

The Weather – We are venturing into the arctic, so you have to prepare for all types of weather: from snow conditions to more familiar summer conditions. This poses a bit of a logistical problem packing, but not packing too much. It is important to bring WARM CLOTHES, including hats, scarves and gloves, and also wind- and rain-proof gear. Remember good shoes/boots for walking in the terrain. If we do get sunny weather, do remember sun screen and sunglasses, as the hole in the ozone layer might be right above us…

The Sea – We will spend many hours on the boat. If you are prone to get sea sick easily, please prepare for this with pharmaceutical aids. We will also bring a little emergency depot of assorted remedies.

The Food – If you have any special requests, please let us know or bring a little “emergency” back-up supply.

The locals – They are usually very friendly and most likely they speak English!
