The hotel is situated in Nordmarka surrounded with lovely nature which offers you great possibilities to take a walk on small pats in the wood. There are also an outdoor swimming pool to those brave souls which want to take a morning swim if the temperature allows this. The hotel bar is very cozy for those long evenings talking to collegues and have it´s own library which allows you to take a look at Scandinavian literature. There is a terrific panorama view (if the weather is good) over Bogstad and Oslo from the terrace outside the bar. I think you will enjoy your stay at this hotel. Workshop Fee:
The HERO programme, through financial support from The Norwegian Research Council is able to pay for this workshop and the accomondation fee for the participants from HERO. Thus, the HEB programme will pay the expenses for their participants. Notice that the participants must pay their own travel expenses.
The HERO programme will pay the travel expenses for some invited guests. This has been prearranged.
Travel information:
Take the Airport Express Train (Flytoget) Gardermoen to Oslo S railway station
The Airport Express Train from Gardermoen Oslo Lufthavn to Oslo goes several times every hour. The transportation with the airplane take about 20 minutes.

Then take the tram from Oslo S to Voksenkollen and finally to Voksenåsen Kurs og Konferansehotell:
The hotel is situated at Voksenåsen outside Oslo and you take the public trnsport to get here. The travel takes 30 minutes with public transport from the center of Oslo. Take the tram (underground) route 1 to Frognerseteren from the tram station named Jernbanetorget (close to the main railway station in central Oslo). Se time table below. Please notice that you have leave the train at Voksenkollen station!
From Voksenkollen you have to walk for 5-10 minutes to come to Voksenåsen Kurs og Konferansesenter. Walk like this; cross the railway tracs at the station area and walk up the hill to the left, on a road named Ullveien. Please look for signs that show you where Voksenåsen Kurs og Konferansehotell is.
